“Fortress” Single Mother’s Ministry
A ministry to Single Moms and their children. Our vision is to give a “hands up” to these mothers and their children by providing spiritual, emotional and practical support. This group meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm at Calvary in Room 2106 of the Education Building. For more information please contact the church office at 407-644-1199.
Hooks and Needles
The Calvary Hooks and Needles Club is a talented group of ladies that meet on the third Friday of each month from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Room 2100 of the Education Building for the purpose of crocheting and knitting baby hats, booties, and blankets for newborns in the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital.
They also make prayer shawls for those in the Calvary family that are house bound and can no longer get out. Needlecraft ideas are shared with one another and items for the hospital and Calvary members are collected. Those who already know how to crochet or knit are welcome to join, as well as those who would like to learn. Patterns are easy and will be provided. Donations of baby yarn would be greatly appreciated. For more information, please contact Lynne Foley at (407) 951-6735 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
