Are you in a season of waiting — for a breakthrough, a healing, a relationship, or a new opportunity? It can feel like God is silent. But in a powerful message at Calvary Orlando, Pastor JJ reminded us that God works powerfully in the process, not just at the destination.
This message is for anyone who's felt stuck, delayed, or forgotten. The truth is: your miracle is on the way, and God is closer than you think.
God's Presence Is With You in the Waiting
In Luke 24, two disciples walked the road to Emmaus heartbroken after Jesus’ death. Even though Jesus walked right beside them, “they were kept from recognizing him” (Luke 24:16). Their disappointment clouded their vision.
Even when you can’t see it, God is walking with you.
We often think God shows up at the breakthrough. But the truth is, He never left. God is in your process, your pain, your uncertainty — He’s with you on the way.
God Grows You Before He Elevates You
In Genesis, God gave Jacob a promise — but instead of trusting, Jacob tried to manipulate the outcome. What followed was a long, painful journey. But it was on the way — not at the arrival — that Jacob experienced his greatest growth.
If you’re in a tough season, don’t resent the delay. God is preparing your character for your calling.
There’s Joy in the Journey
The Songs of Ascents (Psalms 120–134) were sung by travelers going to Jerusalem. They didn’t wait to arrive to worship. They praised God on the way.
Real joy isn’t found in the destination — it’s found in God’s presence along the way.
No matter your situation, take a moment to look around. You have breath in your lungs, people in your life, and purpose in your future. Joy is on the way — and it starts with gratitude today.
Your Breakthrough Is On the Way
In John 2:1–9, Jesus turned water into wine — but the miracle didn’t happen in the jar. It happened as the servants carried it.
They drew water. He tasted wine. So when did it change? Somewhere on the way.
You may not see it yet, but as you keep walking in faith, keep trusting God's timing, and keep showing up in obedience, your miracle is already in motion.
Keep praying. Keep believing. Because your breakthrough is on the way.
Jesus Is Not Just the Goal — He Is the Way
We often think “When I get there, I’ll feel fulfilled.” But Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life...” (John 14:6)
You don’t have to wait to get “there” — the new job, the healing, the family, the open door — to experience God's peace and power. Because Jesus is with you, you're already where you need to be.
You’re Closer Than You Think
You’re going to get there. But the question is — will you recognize God's hand on the way?
So don’t give up. Don’t rush ahead. Embrace the journey — it’s on the way.

In Genesis, God gave Jacob a promise — but instead of trusting, Jacob tried to manipulate the outcome. What followed was a long, painful journey. But it was on the way — not at the arrival — that Jacob experienced his greatest growth.
- In Genesis 28:16, Jacob realizes, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”
- In Genesis 32:27-28, Jacob wrestles with God and receives a new name — Israel.
If you’re in a tough season, don’t resent the delay. God is preparing your character for your calling.

- Your God-given purpose is on the way.
- And most importantly, Jesus is with you every step of the way.
So don’t give up. Don’t rush ahead. Embrace the journey — it’s on the way.
