God is our provider. He is not simply a God who responds to our problems; He is Yahweh, the God who sees our needs and already has a solution.
In 2 Kings 4, a widow finds herself burdened by debt after the death of her husband. She brings her need to Elisha, and God provides through the small amount of oil she already has. Her story reminds us that financial strain does not mean God has abandoned us, and we do not have to hide our burdens or try figure everything out on our own. We can bring our needs to God and trust Him to give us a solution.
The widow didn't bring God a solution; she brought Him her problem. And God invited her into obedience. As she followed His instructions, the miracle happened and God provided more than enough.
The same truth is revealed in John 6, when Jesus feeds thousands with five loaves and two fish. Jesus already had in mind what He was going to do. What looked like an impossible need became another sign showing people to who He is. The miracle wasn't only about food; it revealed that Jesus is the same God who provides.
We may not know how God will meet our needs, but we can always trust that He already has a plan. Our job is to bring the need to Him, listen for His guidance, and obey what He asks us to do.
Yahweh is our provider. He is more than enough.
The biggest miracle is not just having a problem solved; it is knowing God, trusting His faithfulness, and growing closer in relationship with Him.
