At Calvary Orlando, we believe that your faith doesn’t stop when the Sunday service ends. In fact, the way you live out your Christian faith Monday through Saturday might be one of the most powerful forms of worship you ever offer.
Work is worship.
That’s right—whether you’re in a boardroom, a classroom, or behind a cash register, your daily work is an opportunity to reflect the image of God. The idea that only “church work” matters to God is not biblical. From the beginning, God designed work as good. Genesis tells us that God worked, and when He made us in His image, He gave us the same calling—to create, steward, and contribute.
In the ancient world, work was often seen as punishment. But the Bible paints a different picture: Christian work is a calling, not a curse.
Here in Orlando, where hospitality, education, tourism, and service industries thrive, it’s easy to feel like your job is just a way to pay the bills. But what if your work is actually a divine assignment? Whether you're an engineer, teacher, plumber, server, stay-at-home parent, or medical worker, you're showing God’s character to the world. You're meeting needs, solving problems, and adding value.
That’s why we’re challenging every believer to reframe how they see their 9-to-5. If you're a Christian in Orlando, your work isn't just a job—it’s ministry.
3 Ways to Worship God Through Your Work
You don’t just go to church. You are the church. That means God’s presence goes with you—to your office, your school, your workplace, your meetings, and even your grocery runs. When you do your work as unto the Lord, your cubicle, car, or classroom becomes sacred space.
Your work matters. It’s not just what you do—it’s part of who you are in Christ.
Let’s stop separating Sunday from Monday. Let’s be a Christian church in Orlando that shows the love and excellence of Jesus every single day of the week.

3 Ways to Worship God Through Your Work
- Work with excellence. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Excellence honors God and sets an example for others.
- Reframe your "why." Even if your job isn’t your dream, you can still dedicate it to God. Every act of service, patience, creativity, or leadership can become an offering.
- Bring faith into your field. You don’t have to preach at work to make a difference. The way you treat others, solve problems, and carry yourself can make people curious about your Christian faith.
