Not Today, Satan: The Weapons of Our Warfare

At Calvary Orlando, we’ve spent October diving deep into one powerful truth: spiritual warfare is real, but the victory already belongs to Jesus. This past Sunday, Pastor Kevin closed out our Not Today, Satan series with a message called “The Weapons of Our Warfare.”

He reminded us that as Christians, we’re not called to live in fear or confusion about the unseen battles around us. Instead, God has given us divine weapons, powerful tools that tear down spiritual strongholds, silence the lies of the enemy, and bring lasting freedom through Jesus.

1. You Have the Power

When it comes to spiritual warfare, you don’t need to call anyone else to handle the fight for you. You carry the authority of Jesus inside you. The same Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead empowers you to stand strong against every attack.
2. Your Spiritual Disciplines Are Weapons

Prayer. Fasting. Worship. Reading God’s Word. These aren’t just religious habits; they’re your spiritual weapons. Pastor Kevin called them the “nuclear reactor” of our church, the power source that fuels everything God does through us.
When we stay consistent in prayer and the Word, we’re preparing before the battle ever begins. Victory doesn’t come from reacting to the enemy; it comes from staying connected to God every day.
3. Faith, Hope, and Love Win the War
Faith, hope, and love are not just nice words; they’re supernatural weapons that shift the atmosphere. Every time you encourage someone, speak life into your city, or serve someone in need, you’re pushing back darkness with light.
What we saw at Day of Hope is proof that when our church shows up with faith, hope, and love, lives are changed all across Orlando.
4. Truth Sets You Free
One of the most overlooked weapons of spiritual warfare is truth. When we hide sin or live in secrecy, the enemy gains power. But when we bring things into the light, Satan loses his hold. Truth breaks chains and opens the door for healing and freedom.
5. Worship Is Warfare
When you lift your voice in worship, you’re not just singing songs; you’re declaring victory. Worship confuses the enemy and invites God’s presence to fight on your behalf. No matter what you face, worship keeps your heart anchored in the truth that the battle belongs to the Lord.

You already have what you need to win the battle. God has equipped you with His Spirit, His Word, and His power.

So this week, stand firm, use your weapons, and remind the enemy, Not Today, Satan.
