When there seems to be no way, Yahweh makes a way. In this message, we are reminded that God is our healer and that He has revealed Himself as Yahweh, the God who heals.
In Exodus 3, God introduces Himself to Moses as “I AM” and makes known His name, Yahweh, meaning “He is.” He is eternal, constant, powerful, and present. In Exodus 15:26, God declares, “I am Yahweh, who heals you.”
Through the stories of Naaman in 2 Kings 5 and the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5, we see Yahweh healing in different ways. Neither man demonstrated strong faith, yet both were given God’s grace, mercy, compassion, and healing.
Naaman expected God to work one way, but Yahweh made another way. His healing led him to see who God is. At Bethesda, Jesus healed a man who wasn't even searching for Him. Sometimes faith opens the door for a miracle. Sometimes the miracle opens the door for faith.
These stories remind us that healing is not about our worthiness or works. We can come to God relying on His grace and mercy, trusting that He is who He said He is.
The miracles of Jesus are signs pointing us to Him. The greatest miracle is not the physical healing; it is meeting the God who loves us and longs for a relationship with us.
Yahweh is our healer. When there seems to be no way, we can trust His love, grace, and faithfulness.
