Not Today, Satan: The Real Battle of Spiritual Warfare

The Unseen Battle Every Christian Faces
It’s easy to focus only on what we can see, the news, the chaos, the stress of life. But as Christians, we must remember that not everything is physical. There is a spiritual realm that is just as real, and the Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).

You cannot solve spiritual problems with physical solutions. You need the spiritual weapons God has given you, His Word, His Spirit, and the authority of Jesus Christ.

 Awareness Without Fear
For years, parts of the church have either ignored spiritual warfare or obsessed over it. The truth lies in balance. The enemy is real, but he is not equal to God. He is a defeated foe.

One of the devil’s greatest tricks is distraction. He will keep your life busy with worries and emergencies until there is no time to pray or seek God. But when we stay alert and spiritually aware, we begin to see beyond the surface.

What’s really happening when what’s happening is happening?

That question changes everything. Not everything you face is natural. Some battles are spiritual, and they require spiritual strength to overcome.

 Open Our Eyes
In 2 Kings 6, Elisha prayed, “Lord, open his eyes so that he may see.” Suddenly, his servant saw the armies of God surrounding them. That same reality is true today. You are surrounded by God’s presence, covered by His promises, and strengthened by His Spirit.

Ask God to open your eyes so you can see what He is doing, even when life feels overwhelming. There is more happening than you can see, and through Jesus Christ, the victory is already yours.

 Keep Your Focus on God
The goal of spiritual warfare is not to focus on the enemy but to stay centered on God. The reason there is an unseen battle is because there is also an unseen Kingdom, ruled by the King of Kings.

When we fix our eyes on Jesus, fear loses its grip. We begin to walk in faith, bringing the light of Christ into a dark world. Our world does not just need more solutions. It needs spiritual awakening.

As you go throughout your week, ask God to help you fix your eyes instead of getting distracted by the chaos and busyness around you.

Standing Strong in Orlando and Beyond
Here in Orlando, the church is called to live boldly, to pray, discern, and push back when the enemy tries to steal, kill, and destroy. Every prayer, every act of service, and every step of faith advances the Kingdom of God.

As you face your week, remember this truth from 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV):
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

You have the armor of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the victory of Jesus Christ on your side. When the enemy comes knocking, say it with confidence, Not today, Satan.
