At Calvary Orlando, our Christian community continued the Breathe series with a message titled “Breathing in God’s Waiting Room.” This message is for anyone who feels stuck, delayed, or uncertain and is searching for fresh hope, spiritual renewal, and the reminder that God is still at work even when life feels slow.
David understood this season well. He was anointed as king, yet returned to the fields and walked through years of pressure, adversity, and confusion. Still, his faith remained anchored in this truth:
“I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
This is a powerful reminder that God’s goodness is not only for eternity. His goodness is meant to be seen in our real lives, our real struggles, and our real circumstances.
Isaiah 40 strengthens this message. Those who wait expectantly on the Lord will renew their strength. This kind of waiting is not passive. It is active faith that watches for God, trusts His timing, and believes His promises. Expectant waiting helps us breathe again when life feels overwhelming.
Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones coming to life shows us what God does when He breathes. Strength rises. Hope returns. What seemed impossible becomes possible again. God still breathes life into tired hearts and weary seasons. His waiting room is a place of preparation, renewal, and restoration.
As a church, we are choosing to look for God’s movement each day. We are choosing to stay hopeful, stay prayerful, and stay expectant. God is working in ways we may not see yet, and He will be faithful to finish what He started.
If you are in a waiting season, lift your eyes to Him. Breathe again. Hope again. Trust again. God has been faithful before and He will be faithful again.
