Breathe: The Secret Place

In a world filled with noise, stress, and rising pressure, our Calvary Orlando is learning how to breathe again. This week in our Breathe series, Pastor Maria shared a powerful message on the secret place, the intentional space where we pause, shut the door, and meet with God without distractions.

The secret place is not about performance or rushing through a list of needs. It is about presence. It is about responding to God’s invitation to step away from the noise and rest in His love. Scripture gives us a beautiful picture in Song of Solomon, where the King says, “Show me your face. Let me hear your voice.” God does not listen out of obligation. He delights in being with you. He calls you beloved. He calls you beautiful.

When we make space for Him, something supernatural happens.

Peace replaces pressure. Clarity replaces confusion. Strength replaces striving.
In the quiet, God reveals what busy hearts often miss. The secret place becomes not a hiding spot, but a meeting place where God speaks, heals, restores, and breathes life back into the soul.

Pastor Maria encouraged all of us to schedule intentional moments with God this week. Moments without phones, noise, or urgency. Just you, Jesus, and stillness. Whether it is a bedroom, a car, a walk, or a quiet corner, your soul benefits when you create space for God to move.
