What's Holding You Back From A Miracle?

Welcome to Week 4 of our "Miracles" series at Calvary Orlando! This week, we’re exploring a profound question: What’s holding you back from experiencing a miracle in your life?

It’s a question many believers grapple with, especially when they are praying and waiting for God to move in a powerful way. But here’s the good news—Jesus is alive, and He is still in the business of working miracles today!

Whether it’s healing, provision, or breakthrough, God’s power has not changed. In fact, the Bible is full of examples of Jesus presenting Himself alive after His resurrection by "many convincing proofs" (Acts 1:3). But how can we access that same power in our own lives today?

Faith Activates Miracles

One of the key themes in this week’s message is that faith is the doorway to the miraculous. Mark 16:17-18 tells us that "miraculous signs will accompany those who believe." This means that God works through ordinary people—people like you and me—who choose to place their trust in Him.

When Jesus ascended into heaven, He left His followers with a mission and the power to continue His work (Acts 1:8). Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to pray for healing, believe for provision, and experience freedom. Sometimes, the greatest thing holding us back from a miracle is our own doubt or fear. But when we embrace faith, even in small amounts, God can do the impossible.

Testimonies of God’s Power at Work

At Calvary Orlando, we’ve seen firsthand how God is moving in miraculous ways. From healing to financial provision, we’ve witnessed His hand at work. We often remind ourselves of Psalm 107:2, which says, "Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!" Sharing your testimony not only glorifies God but also encourages others to believe that miracles are possible for them too.

Consider this: What has God already done in your life? How has He changed you? Whether He’s healed your body, restored a relationship, or provided in a season of lack, your story is powerful. It’s a **living testimony** that Jesus is alive and actively involved in the lives of His people.

Keep Believing—Even When the Answer Seems Delayed

Sometimes, we pray for a miracle, and the answer doesn’t come right away. It’s easy to get discouraged when healing or provision seems delayed. However, in Mark 9:23, Jesus reminds us, "All things are possible if we believe."

Even when you’ve been prayed for before and haven’t seen a breakthrough, don’t give up. Faith requires perseverance. Just like a faucet that needs to be kept on for water to flow, our faith needs to remain open to receive from God. If we close the faucet in frustration or disbelief, we shut the door on the miraculous. Instead, keep going to Jesus and trusting Him with the outcome.

Jesus is Alive and Still Performing Miracles

The heart of this week's sermon is simple yet profound: **Jesus is alive, and He is still performing miracles today. Whether you’re believing for healing, financial provision, or a breakthrough in your family, God is able to do more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Here are some key scriptures from this week’s message:- Acts 1:3 – "To these, He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs..."- Mark 16:15-20 – "Go into all the world and preach the Good News... miraculous signs will accompany those who believe."- Romans 8:35, 37-39 – "Despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us."

If you’re ready to experience the miraculous in your life, we invite you to join us at Calvary Orlando. Whether in person or online, we believe God has something incredible in store for you.
